Is a deposit an extra cost on top of my down payment?
A deposit is normally credited toward the purchase price and forms part of your down payment. Its timing matters: money may be required earlier than closing. Confirm the amount and arrangements in your agreement.
Can the calculator confirm mortgage approval?
No. It estimates selected purchase costs. A lender must review income, debts, credit, the property and its own requirements before confirming financing.
